Improved quality for maximum break resistance – the new Streifytec PETG 111P69


New formulation / quality / recipe of PET which makes the material more break-proof and impact-resistant than (Streifeneder’s) conventional PETG, almost "unbreakable" so to speak.

  • This greatly reduces the risk of cracking when demolding, drilling, grinding and improper use.

  • This makes handling the material a lot easier and saves time / effort / nerves / money if necessary.

  • The fracture and the associated risk of falling and injury are also significantly reduced for the patient.

Properties / technical. Data:

  • Activation temperature: approx. 160 ° C (320 ° F)

  • Activation time in the infrared oven for:

    • 12mm thickness approx. 12min

    • 15mm thickness approx. 15min 30sec

  • Maximum shrinkage when activated 0.2-0.5%

  • No shrinkage during cooling.

  • Impact resistance (Izod): no breakage

  • Flexural modulus: 1375 MPa

Material (including care instructions):

  • PETG polyethylene terephthalate with glycol

  • Keep away from acids and bases.

  • Not resistant to acetone.

  • Conditionally resistant to acrylic resins (especially sealing resin)

    • laminating is perfectly fine

Indications:

  • Interim sockets (if laminated)

  • Trial sockets

  • Trial orthotics

  • Face masks

Contraindications:

  • Orthotics with load bearing.

  • Trial orthoses (joints)

Special features / information (attention applies to all PET):

  • Store the material in a dry place, protected from sunlight, between 10 and 40 ° C.

  • Can be made usable again if it absorbs moisture (it creates bubbles when heated).

  • Rule of thumb: 1 hour at 100 ° C in the oven for every 1 mm of material thickness.

Advantages of the product:

  • Extremely high impact resistance

  • Very high breaking strength

  • Less wear during production

Disadvantages of the product:

  • Like every PET it’s hygroscopic. (Absorbs moisture, also from the air)
